There has been a viral photo alleging road construction to Kenya’s Presidential aspirant Raila Odinga Amollo’s home in Bondo. According to the social media photo post, it’s noticeable that Raila Odinga is the 5th President of Kenya.
First, the road to Azimio flag bearer Raila Odinga’s rural home has been redone in preparation for a possible Odinga presidency. Certainly, Raila Odinga’s Bondo home will have numerous VIPs and diplomats after his victory in the 2022 Kenya elections.
Road construction to Raila Odinga Amollo’s Bondo Home
Below is what the post read;
This is Kisian-Bondo road that leads to Odinga’s home. Locals say they have never seen a road built so quick and mostly at night guarded by the Military!
The KDF and contractors are working tirelessly to make sure it’s done in the next 10 days (before the 11th of August, 2022).
The security has also been tightened, several military roadblocks and camps are along the way.
Bondo is set to receive as many international dignitaries and visitors as possible from next week for the Baba Raila Odinga Presidency victory celebration.
However, according to Kenya National Highway Authority, the road construction to Raila Odinga’s Bondo Home area is just a coincidence.
Further, Ezekiel Fukwo, the engineer in charge of maintenance at KENHA dismissed claims that the road is built by the military. Even more, he said that there’s no connection between road construction and the 2022 Kenya elections.
“It was advertised and planned for, like any other project. It is just a coincidence. There are other ongoing maintenance all over the country in Nairobi, Busia, Ugunja and even at the border we have two contractors,” said Ezekiel Fukwo.
“Government has procedures. You cannot just wake up and start building roads. We did the same on Thika to Kenol and Ruiru Campus road over the weekend, so it’s normal maintenance across the country,” said the Kenha official.
