In 1986, Ezekiel Ombaki got a job at the Office of the President as a District Officer. From the year 1989 to 2008, Ezekiel Machogu became a District Commissioner.
From 2008 to 2016 , he worked at the Public Service Commission as a Senior Deputy Secretary.
In 2012, Ezekiel Machogu vied for the governorship in Kisii County however, he became position two.
In 2017, Ezekiel Ombaki joined the Kenya National Assembly as a Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Masaba Constituency.
