According to developing news, over 425 criminal suspects have been arrested/ arrest by KMP Police. This is because there has been a police raid in Kampala over rising insecurity issues to the citizens. Again, there have been numerous reports of criminals snatching phones, handbags, necklaces and other crimes.
According to Luke Owoyesigire, Deputy Police spokesperson for Kampala metropolitan police, the operation was carried out in the following areas. These include Katwe, Nsambya, Kisenyi, Old-Kampala, Namirembe road, Wandegeya, Kabalagala, Jinja Road, City Centre, Nakivubo channel and it’s surroundings.
“Some of the suspects we have arrested had court bails, others police Bond, these we shall immediately take them to the various Courts or police stations that need them. We are going to screen them before processing their case files,” said Luke Owoyesigire.
As a result, the suspects are likely to appear in court. Finally, Police have urged members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or happenings.
