A middle-aged aged lady was recently killed and dumped in Lubijji Drainage Channel along northern bypass in Rubaga Division. Due to the incident, residents of Kawaala zone have been left in fear and unrest. Furthermore, it seemed like the girls was hit using a sharp object on her head.
Reports indicate that the bypass road has been a host of the criminals who rob and kill innocent citizens. Even more, they aim people who use the road early in the morning as well as late night. In a lapse of a month or two, over 5 cases have been reported concerning robbery and death.
Residents have pleaded with the government to at least install CCTV cameras and as well, upgrade the lighting systems. As a result, Kampala metropolitan assistant police Spokesman Luke Owoyesigire confirmed the saga and assured of quick investigations. Her body taken to Mulago Mortuary for postmortem.
