DCI Officers raid William Ruto office – Elections Servers

DCI Officers raid William Ruto Somoei’s office in search of Elections Servers.
Authorities attached to the DCI raided an office correlated to Deputy President William Ruto that’s located at the Transnational Plaza in Nairobi, Kenya.

During the operation, the officers forcefully made their way into the ninth-floor office – leaving damages in their trail. The cop’s operation took place on Sunday, the 24th of July, 2022.

They broke down doors during the operation and worked through the rubble. According to the Nairobi Regional Commissioner James Mugera, the raid was meant to confirm reports that an election-related server was being hosted in the office.

“Two private servers were being moved… We are here to verify,” James Mugera stated.

Emmanuel Talam who is the Director of Communications in the office of the DP did not respond when asked if Ruto still maintained a private office at the CBD building.

Further, the same team progressed to ransack another office in the CBD and seized more computers.

This comes amidst the aftermath between the IEBC and the DCI following the arrest of three Venezuelan nationals. The 3 foreigners were arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in possession of electoral materials.
