DJ Fatxo began his hustle as a DJ, and within no time, made appearances on KU TV. He was not popular until when he joined Gengetone Kenya artists Sailors as their official DJ.
DJ Fatxo’s popularity as a Kikuyu musician exploded when his song Ndi Mang’a went viral. This was not only in Kiambu, Nyeri, Murang’a, and Kirinyaga counties of Kenya but also in oversea suburbs where Kikuyus live.

Currently, DJ Fatxo is facing trials over the death or suicide news of Geoffrey Mwathi, a 23-year-old man in his apartment.
In a statement from the Kasarani Police Station, DJ Fatxo and other fellow relatives and driver said that Geoffrey Mwathi allegedly fell from the 10th floor of Redwood Apartments.
Before the mysterious death, Geoffrey Mwathi was meant to refurbish the decor of his shop and office. Even more, Geoffrey Mwathi had several conversations with his mother concerning an interaction with DJ Fatxo until when his phone went off.
According to reports, Geoffrey Mwathi shared the promising news with his mother Ann Wacuka who lives in Qatar and even asked for Ksh 200 fare.
After meeting and discussing the appointment, the two visited various nightclubs in Nairobi, the last one being Quivers lounge.
The two in the company of three females were later captured by CCTV cameras arriving at DJ Fatxo’s apartment at around 3 am. According to the footage, Dj Fatxo left and the 3 ladies left the house leaving Geoffrey Mwathi with two men.
The 2 men who seemed to be uneasy were seen surveying the ground floor of the apartment. Moments later, reports indicate that Mwathi’s body came down and hit the ground by the head.
While speaking to the media, Mwathi’s family has disputed suicide claims adding that he never had any suicidal thoughts. Further, the family of Geoffrey Mwathi added that the son had no signs of depression that might have led to his death.
