Deputy President’s wife Rachel Ruto hosts prayers for McDonald Mariga at the National Prayer Alter at her homestead in Karen. These follow days before the upcoming Kibra by-elections this month, November 2019. The prayer sessions were held on Wednesday 30th October 2019.
“McDonald Mariga visited us this Wednesday at the National Prayer Altar during our weekly prayer and fastingstatedship. We joined together in prayer as we all wished him the best as he runs for the seat of a Member of Parliament for Kibra constituency, ” Rachel wrote on Facebook.
Certainly, worshippers at the church are meant to fast from six in the morning to six in the evening every Wednesday. In one of the photos as portrayed below, Mariga is seen kneeling down for prayers amid his political ambitions.
McDonald Mariga faces tough rivalry from ODM’s Imran Okoth, brother to the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth. Other candidates vying for the seat include Eliud Owalo of the Amani National Congress and Khamisi Butichi of Ford Kenya.
