The Africa Cup of Nations 2019 (AFCON2019), is also known as the Total 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. Probably it has these other name because of matters to do with sponsorships as far as we know. Certainly, this is the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men’s football championship of Africa. The tournament is usually organized by the Confederation of African Football(CAF). In this article, we shall highlight the 2019 Afcon fixtures for the round of 16.
Most noteworthy, the tournament was initially scheduled to be hosted by Cameroon for the first time. However, they were denied the opportunity due to delays in infrastructure delivery, the Boko Haram insurgency and the Anglophone Crisis. Hence, Egypt was vetted the best option to host the tournament for 2019.
Furthermore, the tournament was shifted from January/February to June/July for the first time. Similarly, it’s also the first Africa Cup of Nations expanded from 16 to 24 teams.

July 5: Uganda vs. Senegal, Cairo.
July 5: Morocco vs. Benin, Cairo.
July 6: Egypt vs. South Africa, Cairo.
July 6: Nigeria vs. Cameroon, Alexandria.
July 7: Madagascar vs. DR Congo, Alexandria.
July 7: Algeria vs. Guinea, Cairo.
July 8: Mali vs. Ivory Coast, Suez. And finally,
