It’s now 2 years since Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo dedicated an award to Bobi Wine. Back in the year 2018, on August 20th, Eddy Kenzo was out to collect commendations. This is after Kenzo was proclaimed the winner in the Performing Arts category at the Young Achievers Awards 2018.
First of all, the ceremony took place at the Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. Eddy Kenzo emerged as the best artist in Uganda under the Young Achievers classification.
Regardless, this was not the end of the award to Ugandan male artist Eddy Kenzo. This is because Kenzo publicly dedicated his prize to Bobi Wine. Certainly, this was in honor of Bobi Wine’s arrest during the Arua by-elections that were full of unrest.
During the event that’s marked a tribute to Eddy Kenzo award for politician Bobi Wine, various dignitaries showed up.
As a tribute to Uganda’s singer and politician Bobi Wine, we also have to acknowledge the guests. For example, the Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto, Anita Fabiola, Crystal Newman, Malaika Nyanzi, and many other people.
It’s good to note that the BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo is among the wealthiest musicians in Uganda today. Here is the list of the top ten richest artists in Uganda from 2021 to 2022.
